The Pokémon Trading Card Game is preparing for another major expansion. Pokémon TCG Delta Reign has been officially revealed as the sixth English set in the Mega Evolution series. The expansion will launch worldwide on November 6, 2026.
The biggest attraction is the return of Mega Rayquaza ex. The powerful Hoenn Pokémon will make its first Pokémon TCG appearance since the XY—Ancient Origins expansion in 2015. Its return gives collectors and competitive players another reason to watch this set closely.
Prerelease events will begin on October 24, 2026. Players will get an opportunity to experience the expansion before its official retail launch.
Mega Rayquaza Leads a Powerful Lineup
Mega Rayquaza ex will headline the new expansion. It will be joined by three other Mega Evolution Pokémon ex: Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex, and Mega Golisopod ex.
Together, these four Pokémon give Delta Reign a strong Mega Evolution identity. The expansion will contain more than 135 cards, providing plenty of options for collectors and players.
The set will also include six Pokémon ex in total. Alongside the Mega Evolution cards, several Pokémon from recent Japanese releases are expected to appear in the English expansion.
New Legendary Stadium Cards
One of Delta Reign’s most interesting features is the introduction of Legendary Stadiums. These cards use a unique two-part design.
Players can combine two Stadium cards to create one larger piece of artwork. Both halves are included in the same booster pack, making the mechanic different from the split-card concept used in the past.
The design also recalls the famous LEGEND cards from the HeartGold & SoulSilver era. However, Legendary Stadiums introduce the concept through Stadium cards rather than Pokémon.
The expansion will contain six Stadium cards that form three Legendary Stadiums. This new mechanic could also create interesting deck-building strategies.

Delta Reign Product Lineup
Pokémon TCG Delta Reign will arrive with a broad selection of products. The lineup includes booster boxes, booster packs, booster bundles, Elite Trainer Boxes, Build & Battle Boxes, and several blister products.
The Elite Trainer Box will feature a Kyogre Illustration Rare that was originally associated with the Japanese Storm Emeralda release. It will instead become a special Delta Reign promo card for the English market.
A special Pokémon Center version will also feature its own Kyogre promo treatment.
The product range should give both collectors and regular players several ways to experience the expansion.
More Rare Cards for Collectors
Delta Reign has an impressive range of higher-rarity cards. The expansion will feature:
- Four Mega Evolution Pokémon ex
- Six Pokémon ex
- 14 Illustration Rare Pokémon
- 17 Ultra Rare Pokémon and Trainer cards
- Six Special Illustration Rare Pokémon and Supporter cards
- Six Stadium cards forming three Legendary Stadiums
This combination makes the set particularly appealing to collectors searching for alternate artwork and premium rarities.

Connection to Japan’s Storm Emeralda
Delta Reign is based heavily on Japan’s Storm Emeralda expansion, which launched on July 31, 2026. The English release will also incorporate cards from three Mega Starter Decks.
Those decks feature Pokémon such as Eevee ex, Zoroark ex, and Meowscarada ex. However, the final English set will not necessarily include every Japanese card.
One Pokémon ex from the potential pool will be excluded because Delta Reign is planned to contain six Pokémon ex while seven candidates are available from the Japanese products.
This makes the English set a combination of multiple Japanese sources rather than a direct one-to-one release.
Pokémon TCG Delta Reign Release Schedule
Fans will not have to wait until November to experience Delta Reign. Prerelease tournaments begin October 24 and run through November 1 at participating locations.
The digital version will arrive even earlier. Pokémon TCG Live players can access Delta Reign starting November 5, 2026, one day before the physical release.
With Mega Rayquaza ex returning, new Legendary Stadium mechanics, and a large collection of rare cards, Pokémon TCG Delta Reign is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Mega Evolution expansions of 2026.
