The Heist Saga Lives On
The legendary Ocean’s franchise is officially coming back with Ocean’s 14. Fans are thrilled as Andy Garcia confirms his return as Terry Benedict, the sharp casino owner who went toe-to-toe with Danny Ocean’s crew. The news broke during TheWrap’s interview with Garcia at a press event for Landman Season 2. His return signals another exciting chapter in one of Hollywood’s most beloved heist stories.
Filming Plans Shift to 2026
Garcia revealed that production was set for January 2026 but has now been delayed. Brad Pitt, who plays Rusty Ryan, is currently finishing The Adventures of Cliff Booth, the sequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. That schedule likely caused the postponement. Although Warner Bros. hasn’t made an official statement, insiders confirm the project is moving forward. Filming is now expected to begin later in 2026.

George Clooney Hints at a Major Reunion
Producer and star George Clooney recently shared that the core cast remains close and eager to reunite. Speaking to E! News, Clooney said, “Brad [Pitt], Matt [Damon], Don [Cheadle], and Julia [Roberts]… I had dinner last night with Julia. They’re all still really dear friends. So, the chance to work together would be fun.” His comments make it clear that the group is ready to bring the old magic back to the screen.

David Leitch Takes the Director’s Chair
A big shift comes with the addition of director David Leitch, known for Bullet Train and The Fall Guy. This marks the first time a mainline Ocean’s film will not be directed by Steven Soderbergh. Earlier this year, Soderbergh told TheWrap he was done with the series, saying, “I made it clear to everybody that, you know, go with God. I did what I could.” With Leitch leading, fans can expect a slick mix of high-speed action and classic Ocean’s wit.
A Billion-Dollar Legacy
The Ocean’s franchise began in 2001 with Soderbergh’s Ocean’s Eleven, a remake of the 1960 Rat Pack film. The movie earned over $450 million worldwide and introduced a new era of smart, stylish heist films. Ocean’s Twelve followed in 2004, grossing $362 million, and Ocean’s Thirteen arrived in 2007 with $311 million. In 2018, Warner Bros. released Ocean’s 8, an all-female spinoff starring Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, and Anne Hathaway, which brought in nearly $300 million.
Franchise Expansion and Prequel in Development
Warner Bros. is also developing a prequel film featuring Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper, directed by Lee Isaac Chung. This expansion shows the studio’s confidence in the franchise’s continued appeal. Meanwhile, Andy Garcia will appear in Landman Season 2, which premieres on November 16.
What Awaits in “Ocean’s 14”
Plot details are still under wraps, but the return of Terry Benedict suggests bigger challenges for the crew. With Leitch’s energetic direction and a possible full reunion of Clooney, Pitt, Damon, and Roberts, the film promises a thrilling mix of style, humor, and clever twists. Ocean’s 14 could easily become the most exciting entry in the series yet.
