Lucy Davis, best known for playing Dawn Tinsley in the original UK version of The Office, has revealed that she has been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.
The 53-year-old actress shared the news on Instagram, explaining that she was diagnosed around a year and a half ago. She said the cancer has spread to her bones, including her spine, right hip and ribs.
Davis described the cancer as incurable and said it was discovered too late for chemotherapy. Despite the difficult diagnosis, she said she is focused on making the most of her life and continuing to work when possible.

She admitted that she nearly did not have it checked.

Lucy Davis became widely recognized for her role as Dawn Tinsley in the original British version of The Office.

Common breast cancer symptoms can include a lump or swelling in the breast, chest or armpit. However, breast cancer does not always present as a clearly defined lump.
Other possible warning signs include changes in breast size or shape, skin changes such as dimpling or redness, nipple changes and unusual nipple discharge. A rash around the nipple can also be a symptom.
Importantly, these symptoms can have causes other than cancer. However, anyone who notices a new or unusual change should seek medical advice.
